1. KPHI, KP SCAL, and KP NCAL

Please note that KPHI and KP NCAL clients will first need a referral (authorization) from KP. Kaiser refers to the Group (Rula) rather than the individual provider.  KP SCAL clients do not need a referral, but must go through ‘approved’ Kaiser channels in order to schedule with Rula (generally, KP SCal’s call center team schedules appointments for their patients). If you are seeing an existing KP client on another group’s platform, it is likely that KP will not move that referral to Rula in these markets, unless clinically necessary for continuity of care.

In these markets, clients will need to call Kaiser before scheduling an appointment with Rula. If Kaiser refers them to Rula, patients should receive a letter with their referral ID (also visible in the member’s Kaiser portal).

Once the member has obtained their referral ID, they can call Rula at 323-745-8323 to book with a specific provider. Kaiser clients can also get their referral ID from one of the following numbers, depending on their location:
